Aidan is a researcher, strategist, and designer who has spent the last ten years helping organizations grow by creating better products and experiences for their constituents. Passionate about designing sustainable, equitable solutions to systemic problems, he loves working with nonprofit and for-profit organizations in the pursuit of delivering meaningful social and commercial impact. With a degree in Industrial and Product Design from Western Washington University, Aidan began his career as an Industrial Designer at Bose Corporation, where he realized the importance of bringing real people into the process of designing the products, services, and systems that shape their reality. Today, he is the Director of Human Insights at The Family Room, a global insight agency that measures how people are changing and brands must adjust to stay relevant.

Melissa Casburn has been a member of Portland’s creative class for 20 years, leading human-centered research and experience design for local digital agencies and software companies, and volunteering extensively with the regional arts community. She currently serves as the VP of Design for Coforma, a DC-based agency that works with the government and the private sector to craft creative digital solutions and build technology products that improve people’s lives.

Past roles include Senior Director of User Experience for Puppet, a software configuration automation tool company, and Board President for the Portland Lesbian Choir. Melissa co-founded SOAK, the Portland Regional Burn, and produced the event for several years. She holds a BA in Clothing & Textile Design and an MBA from University of Oregon, and is pursuing a certificate in Surface Design from Otis College of Art & Design.

Gregory S. Bombard is a trial lawyer focusing on trade secret litigation, business torts, and other complex commercial disputes. Greg represents pharmaceutical, technology, and manufacturing companies in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings throughout the United States. He regularly represents both plaintiffs and defendants in trade secret cases and related claims. Greg is a frequent writer and speaker on trade secret law and is the co-author of the book Protecting and Litigating Trade Secrets (2nd Ed.), published by the American Bar Association.

In addition to his trade secrets practice, Greg has deep experience defending consumer and business claims under the Unfair Trade Practice Acts of Massachusetts (Chapter 93A) and similar laws in other states. He has handled unfair trade practice litigation on behalf of banks, credit card processors, mortgage servicers, and other consumer finance companies.

Greg is active in the American Bar Association and Boston Bar Association as a frequent speaker and author. He’s a Massachusetts native and a graduate of Boston College Law School.

Greg lives in Boston with his wife and two daughters.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, Ashley relocated to the colder climes of Boston to begin her career at Dyer Brown.

In her tenure with the firm, she has worked extensively on both client projects and marketing initiatives. As a licensed Architect, Ashley has leveraged her passion for client service and design to complete projects ranging from 4,000 to 400,000 square feet. She also currently teaches at the Boston Architectural College as an adjunct faculty member and is a committee member with the Boston Society of Architects.

A native of North Carolina, Ashley is an avid runner, a college football fan (Go Vols!) and a craft beer enthusiast. In her free time, she loves to travel and spends more time on her wardrobe than she would care to admit.

Eric Corey Freed is an award-winning architect, author, and global speaker. As Principal and Director of Sustainability for CannonDesign, he leads the healthcare, education, and commercial teams toward low-carbon, healthy, regenerative buildings for over 30 million square feet a year. For two decades, he was Founding Principal of organicARCHITECT, a visionary design leader in biophilic and regenerative design.
His past roles include Vice President of the International Living Future Institute and Chief Community Officer of EcoDistricts, both nonprofits pushing innovative new paradigms for deep green buildings and communities. He serves on the board of Design Museum Everywhere, whose mission is to “bring the transformative power of design to all.”
Eric is the author of 12 books, including “Green Building & Remodeling for Dummies” and “Circular Economy for Dummies.” In 2012, he was named one of the 25 “Best Green Architecture Firms” in the US, and one of the “Top 10 Most Influential Green Architects.” In 2017, he was named one of Build’s American Architecture Top 25. Leila Mitchell is an architect, graphic designer, brand and marketing strategist with 25 years of experience. Together with the firm she founded, LLM Design, Leila focuses her efforts on changing the experience of place through thoughtful and creative solutions.

With a BS in Architecture from The University of Virginia and an M.F.A. from the Dynamic Media Institute at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Leila’s education and experience led her to find strong positioning as leader of her craft. Starting as a designer for an architectural firm in Baltimore to being a Creative Director and Associate Principal at Neoscape in Boston, she has worked with award-winning studios.

As the Founder and Creative Director of LLM Design, Leila has had the opportunity to work with a diverse roster of clients on a variety of exciting projects including commercial interior architecture, brand identity, wayfinding and signage programs, print and web design, branded interiors, and film. Her process begins with engaging the collective voice and ends with capturing the audience with a compelling story. Leila’s collaborative, approachable, and responsive attitude has resulted in long-term client relationships. Inspired and driven by design and creativity, Leila consistently challenges her team to successfully articulate the value LLM delivers to its clients.

In addition to her work with LLM Design, Leila is a professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, College of Architecture and Design. She lives in Milton with her husband Jeff and their 3 children, Maxwell, Maya and Lucy, but continues to be grounded in her southern roots.

Larry Rodgers has spent the last 19 years designing experiences and serving consumers through the lens of health, fitness , and sport. He currently serves as Senior Director, Retail Concepts at Nike, leading the company’s global efforts for its flagship retail locations, Nike House of Innovation. Prior to this, Larry led Global Consumer Service Experience at Nike, focusing on driving global service strategy and service design across the dimensions of social, apps, Nike.com, Nike Experts, and Membership.

Larry spent over a decade leading sales and marketing through the phone channel for Beachbody LLC., best known for fitness and beauty brands such as P90X, Insanity, Shakeology, and Derm Exclusive. Prior to Beachbody, Larry spent 4 years, with the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks designing pre, post, and in-game experiences through event marketing, promotions, and entertainment. Larry has undergraduate work in general education at the University of Michigan, a B.S. in Management from Pepperdine University, and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. For fun, Larry enjoys playing strategy and role-playing games, salsa dancing, boxing, and reading.
