The Sony A6700 is an excellent hybrid camera that combines a compact design with a powerful 26MP APS-C sensor and top-notch autofocus. It’s perfect for both photography and 4K video recording, with great stabilization and impressive color reproduction. I especially appreciated its speed and professional features packed into a small body. Unfortunately, my excitement didn’t last long—someone stole it from my hotel. Even though I was careful, it disappeared along with the lens. So if you get one, make sure to insure it and never leave it unattended.

My first camera was the A6000, which I bought for its compact size and excellent image quality, I loved it and started buying lenses - then upgraded to the A6400 and now the A6700. I use this camera for photos and video work, both personally and commercially.

I bought this last Dec 2024, and so far I always bring it with me. I contemplated for about a year before I made my purchase and it was indeed an incredible purchase! No turning back!

I'm still getting to grips with handling the camera. It's a tad too easy to move the dial from photograph to video I've found and to accidently move programme setting (eg from M to P to A) when using the other dial next to it. It's very annoying!!

I've owned the Sony A7RIII, A7RIV and have ordered an A7RV. Bought this as an easy to carry every day camera to capture shots that I would otherwise take on my iphone. I often come across great shots when I'm not carrying all my Sony A7RV gear and take them on the phone. This A6700 is so small and light I can carry it in a small shoulder bag and quickly take it out and get much better quality photos than the iphone can take. I like it because its got the same processor as the A7RV, shoots in 10 bit CODEC, and has the fully articulating screen that makes it possible to compose a shot even when the camera is right down on the ground or at arms length. Its like a baby A7RV.

Happy with this camera is an understatement, I had a rival brand which had endless complex non intuitive menus and now a camera designed to help rather than hinder. The photographs taken on the intelligent auto setting are sublime and I’m looking forward to trying all the settings to enhance the photograph quality when time permits.

I enjoy using the A6700 because of its ergonomic design and compact size. Its features are also premium, making it very easy to operate.

I am beyond disappointed with Sony’s so-called “extended warranty” for my A6700 camera. I trusted Sony as a reputable brand, only to find out that their warranty is nothing more than a marketing gimmick to grab your money. Here’s what happened: I purchased the extended warranty for my A6700, thinking it would provide peace of mind for an expensive camera. Unfortunately, when I encountered an issue with the autofocus system just a few months into owning the camera, Sony refused to honor the extended warranty. Their excuse? “The problem falls outside of coverage.” What’s the point of paying for an extended warranty if it doesn’t cover critical components like autofocus in a high-performance camera? Their customer service was unhelpful, evasive, and downright dismissive of my concerns. I spent hours on calls and emails, only to be told there’s nothing they can do. Sony’s lack of accountability and refusal to back their own products is unacceptable. For a brand that markets itself as premium, this experience screams cheap tactics and poor customer care. I’ve lost faith in Sony and will think twice before buying another product from them. Save yourself the frustration and consider other brands that actually stand by their products. Sony, you’ve lost a loyal customer.

Coming from the A6000 I thought it would be an easy learning curve but this is packed to the brim with features. You tubes Arthur R informative videos persuaded me this was my step up, it is still a travel camera but only just, the weight difference could be off putting at first but give it time. Don’t want and now more than ever don’t need full frame.

I do automotive photography, and this camera has great autofocus and photo quality and is just amazing. It is just a great camera all around feels good in your hands nice and small also shoots supper good 4K videos

I change of camera because a friend recommended this camera but disappointed because not come with a battery charger, a lens hood cap when we remove the lens protector, I was a Nikon user but not happen and also the lens that comes with this lens doesn’t come with hood I will give it a try but what I see not happy . And I have to add more money to buy stuff like a battery charger and cables. And the app that you make is to sign not friendly at all

I bought this few weeks ago, and it never disappointed me. But it overheats quickly with 4k video 4:2:2 10 bit codec.

The Sony A6700 is the perfect hybrid camera for my everyday shoot. With the amazing sensor I can shoot at really low light in both photo and video mode. The Autofocus AI system works perfect in tandem with my Sony AF 50mm f1.8 OSS lens.

Previously using FF. But all the stuffs are too heavy for an old man now. Happy with the handy weight of the A6700. This camera is very "camera orientated", which mean the design is very good for taking photos. As a previous Canon user, I can familiar with its functions quick and easy. Consider the price and as an apsc camera, the photo quality, speed for focusing an subject, night shots, are all great.

Camera supports 10 bit HEIF image format and network connectivity. However, unable to download 10 bit HEIF files to Google Pxel 8 phone running Android 15 from Sony A6700 camera using Sony Creators' App version 2.7.0 An update for the app to be inclusive to Android phone users is required. The multi-interface hot shoe is not fitting for non-Sony or older camera flash lights even though there is no intention to use TTL mode.

I come from fuji background so just been getting used to how things work. auto focus is amazing but wish I didn't go for the zoom kit lens as its not the sharpest and corners are distorted. I have gone for a sigma zoom & 1 low light prime and the images are very sharp. Took a while to navigate to the colour settings I like, but tbh im still learning. looking for a pancake style sharp weatherproof lens for travels

This is an absolute fantastic product that takes great photos and video. If you are interested in buying a hybrid camera that can cover all the grounds of video and photo this is the one to buy.

This camera has completely surpassed my expectations, coming from Nikon, I've found the sony ecosystem far more accessible and delivers a broader array of lens options. The camera is well built & out preforms my Nikon in all category's. Paired with a decent lens, this thing performs. Very Happy.

Less than 200 shutter counts and purchased in August 2024 and I am already getting errors. Previously had the a6400 and a6600 and never ran into any errors.

This replaced my a6300, an excellent upgrade that gives me greatly increased flexibility in post processing images. Had I been more aware when I bought it I might have preferred the full frame version but I had no intention of changing the Zeiss 16-70 zoom lens and have no regrets.

I bought a6700 and used FE 70-200 2.8 for low light bird photography, especially owls. Example photos are of Eurasian pygmy owl after one weeks use of this combo.

Only had for a short while so still learning! Very pleased so far. Getting used to the menus.
